How to connect DVR Directly to Laptop

         In this topic we will discuss about that how to connect DVR or NVR or IP camera directly to Laptop/PC.


1. First Connect Power supply to the DVR and Cameras.

2. Connect the BNC cable fro DVR to Camera as shown in above video link.

3. Then connect Ethernet cable from DVR to Laptop.

4. After that We need to assign IP address to the Laptop/PC.

5. Then from Search Tool you can know the IP address of the DVR. The Search tool may differ for different brands of dvr. You can also use advance IP Scanner to search IP address. Search tool link given below.

6. Type the IP address in Internet Explorer which is searching on the tool. Then Enter the User name and Password of the DVR. THen you can able to view.

How to add Onvif IP camera in UNIVIEW NVR ?                 In this we will discussing about how to add the Onvif IP camera in Uniview NVR. Here I am using one Uniview NVR and Hifocus IP Camera. I will explain the procedure below. Uniview NVR with Onvif IP Camera 1. First For Connecting IP Camera with NVR we need Ethernet or Lan cables and Switch. Its better to use PoE switches. So that we no need to connect separate power to the Camera. 2. Connect Ethernet cable from Switch Uplink to NVR and Switch PoE ports to cameras. (Please refer above video Link). 3. After the connection done, in NVR go to  Main Menu >> Camera  option, There camera will be searched. If not searching we have to add the camera manually. 4. Check What is the IP address searching there, and confirm whether both NVR and camera are are in same series. If not need to change camera IP address to NVR Series.
